Palanquin

A trilogy of sculptures and installations, Palanquin is a close observation of familiar symbols and motifs routinely encountered in Iran. This project presents and converges tropes from the past, present and an imagined future. Together, the three works function as a vehicle for history when told by those who bear the weight; those who carry the palanquin.
